How to Contribute
Individual contributions into young person’s account
For local authorities, foster carers, relatives and friends who wish to contribute to a young person’s long-term savings account
The Share Foundation administer contributions to Junior ISA and Child Trust Fund accounts under the Looked After Children scheme. We administer Child Trust Fund accounts for young people in care who have no responsible adult in their lives.
For Foster Carers, Local Authorities, Care Organisations, Friends and Relatives of young people in care: The Share Foundation can administer contributions restricted to a specific young person in care for their Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund account. You may choose to make a one-off contribution or set up a regular donation.
Contributions are treated as a gift to the young person and become part of their savings. This means that, once a payment has been made, it belongs to them and can't be returned to the donor.
This page is for contributions into individual accounts, if you are looking to make a contribution into multiple accounts, click here.

All Junior ISA and Child Trust Funds administered by The Share Foundation will have a unique TSF reference. If this is not known already, you can obtain this from The Share Foundation’s ‘main contact’ at the relevant local authority of the young person. This reference ensures that the contribution is made into the correct account, as once a contribution has been paid into the account, it is deemed as a gift to the young person and cannot be refunded.
For support in obtaining the TSF reference number, please contact us providing the name of the local authority looking after the young person.
If making a one-off contribution go to Step 2
For regular contributions go to Step 4

All non-Direct Debit contributions to an individual Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund account require a contribution form to be submitted to The Share Foundation. This ensures we can identify and match the contribution amount to the correct young person and donor.
The form is required for all payment methods, ideally prior to receiving the contribution. It can be submitted electronically using the online link below or downloaded below and emailed or posted. The minimum single or regular payment is £10 - this is stipulated by the account providers!

The Share Foundation can accept ‘one-off’ payments by bank transfer. You can find the bank details at the end of the contribution forms in Step 2.
Please note that in all cases the minimum payment which can be accepted is £10.00
Bank transfer payments are arranged directly by the donor with their bank as one-off contributions. Please ensure when setting up bank payments, the TSF reference number is used as the payment reference. Bank transfers received without TSF references will be returned, as we need this reference to ensure the contribution is paid to the correct account.

Direct debit payments can be made monthly, quarterly or annually (1st or 15th of the month to suit you) or every one, two, three or four weeks as appropriate.
For example, if you wish to contribute £5 each week this can be set up as a payment of £10 every two weeks, £15 every three weeks or £20 every four weeks.
Please note that all weekly direct debits will be collected on Tuesdays. If you select a day other than a Tuesday (which may occur due to the system constraints) the DD will be collected for the first time on the Tuesday following your selected start date and every Tuesday thereafter.
For monthly/quarterly/annual Direct Debit payments please click here.
For weekly or 2/3/4 weekly Direct Debit payments please click here.
If you are unable to complete the appropriate online Direct Debit form you can call us on 01296 310400 and we will be happy to complete the Direct Debit with you over the telephone.
Remember – All contributions to an individual Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund are treated as a gift to the child and become their property. Contributions therefore cannot be refunded to the donor.
