How to contribute
Group contributions into multiple accounts
For local authorities, fostering networks and care organisations who wish to contribute into multiple young people’s accounts
The Share Foundation administer contributions to Junior ISA and Child Trust Fund accounts under the Looked After Children scheme. We administer Child Trust Fund accounts for young people in care who have no responsible adult in their lives.
Contributions are treated as a gift to the young person and become part of their savings. This means that, once a payment has been made, it belongs to them and can't be returned to the donor.
This page is for contributions into multiple accounts. If you are looking to make a contribution into a individual account, click here.
-
Using an excel spreadsheet, list each individual young person’s TSF reference and the amount to be contributed to each account. Please note the minimum single or regular payment is £10 - this is stipulated by the account providers!
Contact the team to discuss how to gather TSF reference numbers if you do not already have these.
Example:
TSF Reference Amount
TSF123456A 40.00
TSF123456B 60.00
TSF123456C 20.00
TSF123456D 40.00
-
Send the list to The Share Foundation before any payments are made.
This will allow us to check each account and ensure we are able to administer the contribution before any money is received. We will then confirm, by return email, if there are any that cannot be contributed to, so that the total amount of contribution paid to The Share Foundation reflects the ‘live’ accounts that we are able to administer. This avoids having to make refunds.
Please send the list to info@sharefound.org for the initial check.

Contributions can be made using the following payment methods:
A bank transfer payment arranged directly to us, quoting the name of the LA/Trust/Agency, and transferring the funds to:
The Share Foundation Fundraising Account
Sort Code 40-52-40
Account number 00034837
Remember – contributions to an individual Junior ISA or Child Trust Fund are treated as a gift to the child and become their property. Contributions therefore cannot be refunded to the donor.
