The first and most vital step in the process of TSF providing savings accounts for children in care is the regular submission of data by a local authority on qualifying children.
What constitutes a qualifying child and the dataset required is covered and is at the heart of making sure every child has access to the savings they are entitled to. We also discuss the rationale behind how regularly data is to be submitted and the Statutory Guidance for England issued by the Department for Education.
This seminar will also cover any additional information we may request from a local authority from time to time and the reasons for this.
It will also cover the various correspondence we will send out from time to time for individual children and what should be done with this on receipt.
